The software applications linked to this page are all materials property databases of one sort or another. Here is a quick summary:
- TAPP is our own flagship product, a database of thermophysical properties of over 30,000 pure compound phases.
- SciGlass - just released anew by ITC - is a database with over 267,000 glasses, the abilities to predict glass properties and find glasses with specific properties.
- The Electronic Handbook of Optical Constants includes optical property data from the 5-volume series edited by Palik.
- Alloy Finder from ASM International includes information from three ASM handbooks with alloy designations, basic properties, and chemistry.
- Alloy Finder from ASM International includes detailed datasheets for thousands of alloys from the seven volume print collection.
- Pauling File Binaries contains crystallographic, phase diagram, and property data for over 20,000 binary compounds.
SciGlass back on the Market
SciGlass is now available under new ownership -- ITC, the original developers of the product. SciGlass has been out of the market for two years as it bounced from one uninterested owner to another. Now it is back home with much more data, more powerful property prediction tools, and the ability to use these tools on all 267,000 glasses to find glasses with a very specific set of properties.
MatML - a Markup Language for Materials
MatML has been under development for several years by a small but dedicated group seeking to standardize the reporting of materials property data. It now has a new home at http://www.matml.org.
